James F. Aguilar, 75, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Marion General Hospital. James was born on April 27, 1942, to the late Luis and Mary (Alter) Aguilar in Marion, Indiana.

He graduated from Bennett High School in 1960. He worked forArbysin Gas City and Marion, worked as a service writer at McNamaras Texaco, DeVoes, (which later became Barry Bunker Chevrolet), Mike Anderson Gas City, and worked at Roesslers Jewelry. James attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion, Indiana. James loved country music, especially Johnny Cash. He was the first Hispanic inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and had a band called Tor-Kays. He enjoyed writing songs and playing the guitar and singing.

James is survived by five siblings, Frank (Mary) Aguilar, Marion, Steve (Judy) Aguilar, Fishers, Anita (Larry) McCrea, Marion, Bill (Vicki) Aguilar, Warsaw, and Rick (Leigh) Aguilar, Marion; and sister-in-law, Sally Aguilar, Converse.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother C. Tom Aguilar.
