Chief Master Sergeant Jim Davies (USAF Ret) departed this world PCS on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Chief Davies was a veteran of 28 years in the United States Air Force. He was born 14 miles off the hard road in Dentville, Copiah County, Mississippi on August 12, 1931 to Edward Louis and Mary Corley Davies. His years before joining the Air Force in 1950 were spent living in Florida, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. His 28 years in the Air Force were spent in the Communication Electronics Field, followed by 22 more years in the civilian defense industries.

Chief Davies was a Mason and a member of the Boerne Texas Blue Lodge, San Antonio Scottish and York Rite, and the Alzafar Shrine. An avid Bible reader, he believed that John 3:16 is the true Bible message and that all other passages are supporting documentation.

Chief Davies is survived by his best friend and companion of over 25 years, Louise Curington, of San Antonio; his brother and sister-in-law, Lionel and Pam Houk of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; his nephew, John Davies; his niece, Kay Houke, both of Fort Pierce, Florida; and a few good friends.
