James Edwin Mobley, better known as Jim, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed from this life, Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Mansfield, Arkansas with his family by his side. Jim was born February 16, 1948 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Luther Garrett Mobley and Margaret Ann (Sellers) Mobley. He was 71 years old.

Jim was a Vietnam Veteran. He proudly served from 1967-1971. He was an aviation machinist mate 2. After serving in the Navy, Jim became a meat cutter and eventually becoming the manager of the meat market and retired after 45 years. In 1977 Jim married the love of his life, Cynthia K. Boatright and together they raised a house full of 6 boys. Jim enjoyed deer hunting, and crappie fishing, but he had a love of guns and reloading. JIm also enjoyed collecting with Cynthia, Bartlett Collins vases, antique oil lamps and Pyrex. But most of all Jim enjoyed when he was surrounded by his family.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 43 years, Cynthia K. Mobley of the home, his sons: James C. Mobley of Mesquite, Texas, G.R. Rich and wife Laura of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joey Rich and wife Brandi of Mabank, Texas, Jeremy (Neal) Mobley of Dallas, Texas, Nathan Mobley and wife Amy Lee of Mansfield, Arkansas and Casey Lynn Mobley of Ft. Smith, Arkansas as well as one sister, Patricia Ann Williams and husband Larry of Dekalb, Texas. “Pop” will forever remain in the hearts of his 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Jim will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose he impacted including a host of niece, nephews, friends and neighbors dear to his heart.
