James Edward “Jim” Huston, 84 of Hilltop, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Dayton, Tennessee on April 3, 1936 to the late James A. and Ruth Denton Huston.

Jim was a farmer and a veteran having served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Fleming County Muzzleloaders and had competed several times in the Bluegrass Games.  He had served 22 years as a commissioner on the Western-Fleming Water Association and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Wilson Huston who passed away November 21, 2018.

Survivors include two daughters: Kathy (Jeff) Dryden of Ewing, Kentucky and Karen (Dean Shearer) Huston of Richmond, Kentucky. Three grandchildren: Jarrod (Amanda) Dryden, Derrick (Cassie) Dryden and Kizann Huston. Three great grandchildren, Burkley Dryden, Landry Dryden and Zachary Smith.
