James Edward Ibaugh, 87, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
He was born on December 9, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to Homer E. Ibaugh and Doris (Wilt) Ibaugh.
James served in the U.S. Navy as a Radio Communications Specialist, located at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with an accounting degree. He was a proud member of American Legion Post 252 in Greenwood for many years. James and his wife owned and operated Four Star Video in Whiteland for over 20 years, retiring in 2004.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty L. (Hartwell) Ibaugh, and his sister, Sue Ann (Ibaugh) Freese.
He is survived by his children, James D. (Sandra) Ibaugh of Greenwood, John Ibaugh of Melbourne, FL, and Cindy Ibaugh of Whiteland; his step-children, Nancy (William) Grimes of New York City and Timothy (Susan) Beliches of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Allen Wayne (Vicki) Ibaugh of Orlando, FL, Justin Beliches and Mary Beliches of Jacksonville, FL, Stefani Anness and Ryan Anness of Indianapolis, and Megan Hawkins of Whiteland; many great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn “Cookie” Brock of Wisconsin.
