CLEAR SPRING – James Edward Durst, 79, of Clear Spring, Md., died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at his home.
He was born Oct. 29, 1931, in Frostburg, Md., to the late Lee Robert and Carry Victoria Robison Durst.
Employed by WD Byron Tannery in Williamsport until his retirement in 1993.
Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War.
Graduate of Beall High School in 1949.
James was of the Methodist faith.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean Wright Durst, on Nov. 24, 2008.
Survivors include daughter, Vicky L. Dorsey of Clear Spring; son, Tommy A. Durst of Clear Spring; son, Kevin E. Durst of Hancock, Md.; sister, Virginia C. DeVore of Hopkinsville, Ky.; sister, Jo Ann Josey of Bonifay, Fla.; and grandsons, Jason, Jermey, Derek and Daniel.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Robert O. Durst and William A. Durst.
