James Edward Cox, Jr., 62, of 1 Quail Lake Road, Martinsville, VA died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born in Martinsville, VA on September 4, 1948 to the late James Edward Cox, Sr. and Doris Clark Cox. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Glennis Cox Hundley and Diana Lynn Cox; and a brother, William Clay Cox. Mr. Cox was a member of Ft. Trial Baptist Church and of the Elk’s Lodge. He worked for the Martinsville Bulletin and The Franklin News Post as a manager in the advertising department for over 25 years. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Rebecca Mason Cox, of Martinsville, VA; a daughter and son in-law Angie Cox Prillaman and M. Scott Prillaman; two grandchildren, Ryan and Cody Prillaman of Stanleytown, VA; two nieces, Diana Hundley Martin of Bassett, VA and Melissa Hundley of Henry County.
