LADD IIIDURHAM Mr. James Edgar Ladd III, age 84, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at his home. James was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Jim and Lula Bell Harris Ladd. James was raised and resided on North Benjamine Street. For over 45 years, James was a part of J. E. Ladd and Son Transfer, from 1973 until his retirement in 1991. He was the owner and operator of the Durham business. James was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army from 1944 to 1946. He attended Liberty Baptist Church.
