James Edgar “Jimmy” Rush, 72, passed away on Friday, Nov. 27 at his Bloomington residence. He was born March 6, 1943, in Bloomington to Darlo and Peggy J. (Stephens) Rush.
He had worked as a Property Manager with several rental properties over the years. Jimmy, as he was known by friends, was a 1961 graduate of University High School, where he lettered in football. He attended Indiana University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He lived for several years in California, mostly in San Francisco. He returned to Bloomington in 1990.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy J. Watson of Bloomington, an aunt, Joan Stephens, Bloomington; a cousin, Jane Johnson, Bloomington, a nephew, Casey Hamilton, Cainsville, Mo., and a niece, Nikkie Holtwick, Carlsbad, N.M.
Preceding in death were his father, a brother, Scott Rush, and a sister, Jill Hamilton.
