James Edward “Ed” Horne, 58, of Newnan died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Pruitt Health in Franklin. Born in Newnan, on June 9, 1960, he was the son of the late James Stanley and Sarah Lillian Callihan Horne. Ed was formerly very active at Rutledge Center and with Special Olympics. He loved music, dancing, and bowling and was a proficient worker of puzzles and crossword puzzles. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, keeping notebooks of scores. Ed was a member of Elim Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Catherine Gent of Newnan; a brother, Ronald Horne and wife Sara of Franklin; nephews, Chris Horne and wife Nikki of Columbus, Alex Horne of Franklin, and Timothy Gent and Benjamin Gent, both of Newnan; and a great-nephew, Potter Horne.
