James E. (Jim) Calvert, age 82, native of Evergreen, AL, resident of Mobile, AL departed this life on April 2, 2019 at a local hospital.
James worked for Poole Truck Line and retired from Delchamps Food Stores being a truck driver for 40 years. He loved watching Braves baseball and a big Nascar fan.
James is preceded in death by his mother and step father Mary (Wilton) Craig, one daughter; Lynne Dickson, two brothers; Delmer E. Calvert and Frank Calvert. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Joyce Calvert, three children; Scott (Molly) Calvert, Leigh Anne Calvert, Brad (Heather) Calvert, seven grandchildren; Jessica, Michael (Beth), Ashley, Derrick, Brittney, Chris, and Matthew, one great granddaughter; Penelope Smith, son in law; Tommy Dickson, two sister in laws; Mary Calvert, Betty Calvert, three sisters; Cathy Brown, Ellen Haltaus, and Jean (Gary) Selph, and many other family (nephews, nieces), friends and Hardee Bunch from Evergreen.
