James E. Muse 81 of Leominster died Tuesday May 19, 2009 in Rivercrest Long Term Care Facility in Concord, MA. He was born on July 9, 1927 in Wakefield; MA was the son of Thomas W. and Jessie (Campbell) Muse. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII having served on the USS Bennington and attaining the rank of Seaman Second Class. He also earned the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, and Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal with 3 stars. Mr. Muse was burner technician and owned and operated Muse Heating Co. He was a member of the American Legion, and the Leominster Lodge of Elks; he enjoyed gardening, watching golf and baseball games. He was a clock repairman, an avid reader, and an avid Leominster High School Football Fan. His favorite times were spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Muse is survived by his wife of 48 years Anna C. (Normandin) Muse of Leominster, a son James T. Muse of Leominster, four daughters Gayle Bush of Fitchburg, Debra Boyden of Hardwick, MA, Lee Ann Killay of Leominster, and Deborah McDonald of Clarksville, TN, two sisters Madeline Avantis of Peabody, MA and Norma Giles of Concord, NH, thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
