James E. McDonald of Winthrop passed away at the Eatpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea of July 8, 2015 after a prolonged illness. He was 52 years old. Born in Winthrop he was the beloved son of Catherine (McMann) and Joseph McDonald. A lifelong resident of Winthrop, he was a graduate of Winthrop High School. He was employed for many years as a painter and was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.
He was the loving father of Mary McDonald of Nashua, New Hampshire, Catherine McDonald and Jamie McDonald both of Manchester, New Hampshire.
