James E. “Jim” Lanahan, 58, of Troy, IL born May 14, 1962 in Highland, IL and passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Jim attended Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Maryville, IL. He was very giving and charitable to causes dear to him. He loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa K. (nee Decker) Lanahan.
Surviving are his children, Jesse Thomas Lanahan of Pontoon Beach, IL and Nicole Ann Lanahan of Troy, IL; grandson, Jayden S. Silsbee; father, Gerald “Jerry” Lanahan Sr. of Troy, IL; brothers, Gerald “Joe” (Susan) Lanahan Jr. of Osage Beach, MO, Kenneth (Debra) Lanahan of Champion Gate, FL; sisters, Cynthia Marie Lanahan of Collinsville, IL and Nancy (Bobby) Douglas of Troy, IL; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
