James Dunlap, 78, passed away on December 9, 2016 at Healthwin. James was born on March 28, 1938, in Fayette, Mississippi, to Willie and Izella (Durrell) Dunlap, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings; four brothers, Willie T., Charlie, Clemie and Leroy Dunlap; two sisters, Earnestine Beverly and Clara Anderson; and one granddaughter, Kristen Squire. On April 18, 1970, James married Betty Elaine (Morgan) Dunlap in Chicago, Illinois. Along with his wife Elaine, he is survived by three sons, Chris (Katrina) Squire of New Jersey, Carlos Dunlap of South Bend and Mario Dunlap of South Bend; four sisters, Mary Beverly of Baton Rouge, LA, Dorothy (Sol) Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Helen Green of Chicago, IL and Claudette (Joe) Turner of Fayette, MS; nine grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. James loved to sit in the garage and listen to music; he loved the outdoors and had a genuine heart for helping people. Per James wishes, his body was donated to the medical profession to help others.
