James was a 40 year veteran of Penn-Central and ConRail railroads, retiring in the late 1970’s as a track technician.
An avid Norte Dame football fan, nothing made James happier than to sit out on his patio with his friends and family while tending to his barbecue; sipping on Orange Crush, eating Neapolitan ice cream and scratching off lottery tickets.
He was also an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army during WWll, serving in Europe.
