Maj. James Donald Neal (USAF Retired), 82, of Newnan, GA passed away peacefully on January 30, 2019. Mr. Neal was born February 1, 1936, in McCaysville Georgia, the son of Rev. Roy and Venus Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Sara Shirey Neal, and his brother Allen Neal.

He is survived by their loving children, Debbie Neal, Newnan, David (Lisa) Neal, Powder Springs, Angie (JB) Brown, Hogansville, grandchildren, Keith (Hailey) Brown, Amy (Nathan) Britt, Natalie Brown, Joshua (Mallory) Neal, Jessica Neal, and Grace Neal; great-grandchildren, Anabelle Pollard, Amelia Pollard, Emerson Brown, Eli Brown, Zeke Brown, Ty Brown, Ollie Brown, Abram Brown and Ember Neal. Jim loved singing in the choir, golfing, fishing, and traveling with Sara; but his passion was spending time with his family. A kind, generous and humble man, he put his faith, family, and others first. He spent more time listening than talking and loved to share in the blessings and successes of others. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Sharpsburg. He served his country and traveled the world as a navigator in the United States Air Force for 21 years, then served in the US Post Office for 19 years.
