James Delfi, 85, of Dimmick Township, died February 11, 2010 at Manor Court in Peru.
Mr. Delphi was born on January 24, 1925 in Oglesby to Sam and Palmira (Grassi) Delfi. He was a retired bricklayer and worked many years for Nappi Brothers Construction Company in Rochelle, IL. He was an Army veteran of WWII and served overseas as a member of the O.S.S. He was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle.
He is survived by one brother; Louis (Minnie) Delphi of Dimmick Township; one nephew, Allan (Jill) Delphi; one niece, Mary Lynn (Jeff) Turchi; four great nephews and one great niece; a dear friend Mary Schweigert.
He was preceded in death one brother in infancy. Pallbearers will be Rick Delphi, Tim Delphi, Kevin Delphi, Brian Turchi, Jeff Grassi, Dick Koplenik.
