Mr. Lee died on Thursday, November 10, 2022.  He was born June 29, 1938, in Morgan County, to John David Lee and Myrtie Irena (Hill) Lee.

James was a graduate of Morgan County High School from the class of 1957. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear and was a member of the East Highland Baptist Church. He had a gift of never meeting a stranger and could talk as long as someone would listen. James loved his family and always worked hard to provide and support his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in whatever adventure or activity they were a part of. “Daddy” or “Paw-paw” as he was called by many, could fix anything according to his family and he was always eager to help anyone in anyway possible and always had a giving heart. He loved to hear good gospel singing and was passionate about coaching both his daughters in girls softball for many years. He enjoyed taking family vacations and after retirement, he and his wife of 54 years, enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending winters in Gulf Shores at campgrounds with their many friends that they had met before her passing in 2011.
