James Daniel Richards, 74, of Nazareth passed away due to complications from surgery on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. Born in Fountain Hill he was the son of Ruth (Jacoby) Richards and the late Robert Richards. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca “Becky” (Green) Richards with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. James honorably served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Muhlenberg College where he belonged to the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. James was the co-owner and operator of Beth-Hanover Supply, Co. He was an honorary member of the Lehigh Career and Technical Institute chapter of the National Technical Honor Society. As well as a member of the Goodfellows club of Bethlehem, the Allentown J.C.’s, the Homebuilder’s Association and a lifetime V.F.W. member. Above all James was a devoted family man who enjoyed precious moments with his family and a relaxing trip to the lake house.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Becky and mother, Ruth, James will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Tracy Snoke and Melissa Miller and husband Chris; brother, Thomas Richards and wife Carol; grandchildren, Teagan Renner, Hannah Snoke, Patrick Snoke and Alexander Miller; 2 cherished nephews and his beloved cats, Buddy Boy Buster and Baby Girl Carla.
