James D. Sites was reunited with his loving wife of 56 years, Rosella “Pippin” Sites on July 31, 2013. He passed away at home. Jim was born near Yorktown, Indiana on August 17, 1934.

He went to Harrison High School and attended Ball State University. He worked as a Rail Traffic Controller for over 34 years. He then began a 23 year career at Communications Products Inc. in Indianapolis.

He started in the warehouse and worked his way up to become a Supervising Project Manager. At 78, he was still working full time. He cherished his friends and co-workers at CPI.

Jim was a dedicated family man. He encouraged Pippin’s education and career as a Beautician/Shop Owner here in Anderson. He supported Terri’s goals and shed tears as he watched her cross the stage during her doctoral hooding at the University of Cincinnati Jim took his family on camping trips to the Smoky Mountain National Park over many years.

He and Pippin vacationed in the Smokies and hiked, including hikes on the Appalachian Trail. Jim was a lover of all creatures. He avidly fed the birds and wildlife at his home. He loved the German Shepherds that he raised and the “stray” cats that took up residence. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and friend.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Dr. Terri L. Sites and son-in-law, Craig P. May, Anderson. Other survivors include his sister, Carolyn McIntyre, Pendleton; J.D. Campbell, Alexandria; and Jesse Campbell, Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Riggle Sites; his Father, James Sites; and his Mother, Doris Sites Ellingwood Warren. James D. Sites was reunited with his loving wife of 56 years.
