James D. Meadows, 80, Huntington, IN., died Thursday February 24, 2011 at 3:35 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, Warren, Indiana. James was born on December 30, 1930 in Huntington, Indiana to Asa B. and Eileen Strauss Meadows. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Meadows married Mary Lou Snyder on April 1, 2000. His wife survives and resides in Huntington, IN, Mr. Meadows retired after serving 32 years as a teacher in the Huntington County School Corporation. He also owned and operated Frazanda Golf Course for 40 years.James attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the National Education Association, Huntington County Retired Teachers, and V.F.W. Post 10006 in Fort Wayne.
Survivors in addition to his wife are: a brother, Leroy (Mary) Meadows, Huntington and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Robert Meadows, and two nieces, Jill Abbott and Denise Snyder.
