James D. ”J.D.” Sargent, 88, Anderson, died September 18, 2005 at Community Northview, Anderson following an extended illness..
He was born June 11, 1917 in Georgetown, KY, and resided in Anderson, IN. He retired in June 1982 from E. C. Schleyer Pump Company as a shipping clerk. He served his country in the US Army where he earned the EAME Theater Ribbon with 4 bronze stars and the Good Conduct Ribbon. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his Children: Sandra Kay Davis, Tony and wife Sandy Sargent, and Dan and wife Darlene Sargent. Brother: Ernest Sargent. Sister: Mary Wasson. Grandchildren: Robin Broyles, Melissa Mann, Erika Andrews and Josh Cress. Great Grandchildren: Koner Francis and Shaun Andrews.
He was preceded by his Wife of 60 years, Anna Martha True Sargent. Parents: Daniel Lafayette and Virgina Moreland Sargent.
