Beloved son of Anne Marie (Fitzpatrick) Crater and the late James O. Crater, devoted brother of Mary Anne Crater and her partner, Mark Gomes. He is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Fitzpatrick and Crater families.
Jim was a proud graduate of St. Elizabeth Elementary and High Schools and was a lifelong native of Oakland. He died peacefully after a long struggle with multiple health problems. He will always be remembered in our hearts for his lively and uncontainable spirit along with his infectious and hearty laughter.
