On Saturday, November 7, 2020 James Cory Sheffield passed away at the age of 36. Born on August 28, 1983 in Statesboro, Georgia, Cory was the son of Kathy Maher Sheffield and Craig Sheffield. He graduated from South East Bulloch High School. After High School Cory attended Ogeechee Technical College studying Information Technology.
Known for his quick wit, infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit, Cory had a passion for both his family and friends. Cory loved to be outdoors and treasured the time he spent hunting and fishing with his friends. He was generous with his time and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand, or make you smile when you needed it most. Cory loved people and his family, and he loved making friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cory is preceded in death by his father James Craig Sheffield.
He is survived by his three children, Lauren, Alex and Marley; his mother, Kathy Maher; sister, Jessica Sheffield; grandmother, Gretchen Maher and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
