Mr. Hendricks was born on October 5th, 1932, in Charlotte, NC. He was the son of the late Sherman Taft Hendricks and Virginia Cherry Hendricks. He was a graduate of Derita High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and participated in the Hydrogen Bomb tests at Eniwetok and Bikini Atolls in the Marshall Islands.
