James Clifton Spriggs, son of the late Sarah Evelyn Carter and the late James Solomon Spriggs, died at home on June 5, 2013 at the age of 76. James, known to friends and family as “Bunky”, was born June 16, 1936. He received his education in Anne Arundel public schools and graduated from Wiley H. bates High School in 1954. He served in the United States Army and later as an officer with the Baltimore City Police Department. He later worked for the State of Maryland as a district court commissioner in Anne Arundel County, retiring in 2002.
