Mr. James Clayton Langford, Jr., 69 of the Lake Martin Community passed away after a long battle with Addison’s disease on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Mr. Langford is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy Ann Gravitt Langford; his son, Clay (Amy) Langford and their children, Evan, Claire, Boston, Lauren, and Luke; his daughter, Libbi (Peter) Holden and their children, Kara and Kenton; and his aunt, Willie Jane Lott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clayton Langford, Sr. and Lovie Chappell Langford; his daughter, Holli Langford; and his granddaughter, Kate Langford.
Mr. Langford was born on June 15, 1948 in West Point, GA. He lived in Lanett, AL for 68 years prior to spending the last year in the Lake Martin Community. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lanett. He retired from Met Life after over 40 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride his golf cart.
