James Carl Adams, 84, passed to a better place on Saturday, January 23, 2021, from Lewy Body Dementia complications. He was comforted by his wife of 61 years, Dru, who held his hand the entire time. Jim was born in Terre Haute on the 29th of May, 1936, to Carl and Edna M. (Morton) Adams, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever live in the loving hearts of his wife Drucilla (Moss) Adams; brother Gregory M. Adams; children Jason C. Adams and Stacy L. Adams; and granddaughters Mimi McCameron and Lauren Adams. A graduate of Wiley High School class of 1954, Jim also attended IU and General Motors Institute and graduated with a degree in business, and was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. Upon graduating he joined the Army National Guard before returning to Terre Haute where he began his career working in the mortgage banking business at Pfister and Co.
