James C. Cesario Sr, age 87, of Elburn, passed away Monday April 29, 2013 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva surrounded by his family.

He was born February 20, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Carmen and Rose (Conati) Cesario.

James served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1943-1946.  In the early 1960s, James co-owned Parkside Pizza in Chicago.  He eventually moved out of the city and owned his own pizza restaurants.  During the 1970s he owned Jim’s Pizza in Geneva and until his retirement in 1993 he owned Jim’s Pizza in Elburn.

He is survived by his sons James Jr. (Margy) of Georgia, Mark (Lisa) of California, and John (Linda) of Aurora; grandchildren Matthew (Lakriesha), Michaela (Andrew) Morgan, Nathaniel (Monica), Robert, and David; great-grandchildren Sophia and Vincent; his siblings Sister Mary Carmen O.P. of Springfield and Joanne Cesario of Arizona; and many dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Vivian Zamiar, Carol, and Rose; his son, Albert; and his loving wife Frances (Rincione) who passed in 2007.
