James C. Burgess, 81, of Rising Sun, IN passed away Tuesday, September 21st, at University Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. James was born in Owen County, KY on September 27, 1928, a son of the late Allie (Raisor) and Grover Burgess. On Oct. 11, 1979 he married Betty (Hewitt) Burgess who survives him.
He worked as a carpenter and operated James Burgess Contractor in Rising Sun, IN. James also built houses for Roy Turner and owned Jim & Betty’s Crafts along with his wife.
