James Breiner was born December 24, 1934 to Stephen and Minnie (Moninghoff) Breiner at Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. He was employed as a truck driver until retirement. James was united in marriage to Linda in May of 1999 in Davenport. Together they enjoyed traveling and especially a Motorhome trip to Alaska. James was an avid NASCAR fan and loved attending racing events. Special to him were his pets over the years, Rascal, who was a loyal over-the-road companion and Missy, whom he loved dearly and kept him company in recent years. James Breiner died on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the Algona Good Samaritan Society. No services are planned at this time.

James is survived by his children, Robert Breiner of Estherville, James P. Breiner (Kathy) of Algona, Larry Breiner (Lisa) of Fort Dodge, Greg Breiner (Julie) of Marion, Mike Breiner (Marian) of Visalia, CA, Donna Ryan (Tom) of Sioux Falls, SD and Christopher Breiner of Truman, MN; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Al Breiner (Irene) of Upper Black Eddy, PA; sisters, Eileen Esser (Paul) of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and Rita Haney (Larry) of Effort, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Linda, and daughter-in-law Pam Breiner.
