James William Booth Sr., age 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was born in Peekskill on March 2, 1937 to Edwin and Myrtle Lancaster Booth. James married Flora Marie Gaudinier on August 31, 1958. James was an avid member of his church, St. Luke’s Episcopal, Beacon, and spent much of his time there, enjoying the company of many and always lending a helping hand. James resided in Beacon, NY, where he had the blessing of amazing neighbors and friends. He is survived by his only son, James William Booth Jr., his grandchildren James, Jennifer, Sean and Jessica, and several great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his two brothers Robert and David Booth, his five sisters, Joan Powell, Barbara Carpenter, Margaret Tooley, Julia Ramos and Florence Rich. He was predeceased by four brothers, Edwin Jr, John, Frank and Joseph Booth, three sisters, Marion Booth, Nancy Booth and Janet Antonini.
