Lieutenant Commander James Robert Dudley, Jr. (Bob) passed away on October 3, 2018. Bob was born on April 19, 1937 in New River, Virginia to Mary and James Robert Dudley Sr. After high school, he attended Milligan College in Tennessee. There, he played on the basketball and tennis teams. After graduating, he entered the U.S. Navy and served for 20 years in the Supply Corp. During his time in the Navy, he served in the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam. In 1963, he married Marie Skrobiszewski (Scrubby). In 1978, he and his family moved to Cocoa Beach. After retiring from the Navy, he became a stock broker and worked in that profession for nearly 30 years. Bob was a sports enthusiast, but particularly loved golf. He was an avid golfer who rarely missed his Saturday game. Bob was a good friend, husband, and father. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Scrubby; and is survived by his two daughters, Allison and Sarah; and his grandson Maxwell.
