James Bernard Allen graduated to glory surrounded by his family on November 6, 2021. James was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on December 5, 1936, to Jesse and Leona Allen. He grew up in Blocker, Oklahoma, graduating from Crowder High School in 1955.

James married Sharon in 1959, in Florence, Colorado. Together, they had 2 daughters, Cindy and Brenda. He has 3 grandchildren, James, Emily, and Anna, and 1 great-grandchild, Robert.

James enlisted in the Army and served in Germany, earning an honorable discharge. He was a jack of all trades and worked in many fields. He had a sawmill, was a tin smith, and did roofing and heating, just to name a few. Additionally, James was a real estate broker, operating his own business, James B. Allen Real Estate, and started a cattle ranch in Oklahoma. He also served on the Florence City Council. James had a knack for fixing anything, he could make anything work. He loved working on his ranch, music and tinkering, but most of all he loved his family.

James is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharon; daughters, Cindy (Robert) and Brenda (Stan); grandchildren, James, Emily (Jeremy), and Anna (Joey); siblings, Shirley (Riley), Fred, Betty, Charles, Rachel (Ronnie), Jimmy, June (Ferrell), Donald, and Floyd (Rita); as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Leona, and siblings, Cherry, Johnny, and Edward.
