James Anthony Mayfield, 51, of Manhattan, NY, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Born in Summit, NJ, he grew up in Union, NJ and lived in Point Pleasant, NJ and Bradley Beach, NJ before moving to his apartment in Manhattan 13 years ago. He was a 1983 graduate of Union High School and attended Union County Community College, where he received several degrees in Business and Marketing.
Jimmy was a Financial Representative for Fidelity Investments in New York City for many years. He was an avid traveler, loved to watch movies and enjoyed skiing, fishing and gardening. Jimmy is survived by his parents, John & Annette Mayfield of Berkeley Twp., two brothers and their spouses John & Carol Mayfield of Toms River and Joseph & Michelle Mayfield of Point Pleasant, two sisters and a brother in law Annmarie & Tony Fernandez of Manasquan, NJ, and Aileen Mayfield of Toms River, his four nieces and a nephew Danielle Mayfield, Michele Fernandez, Toniann Fernandez, Gianna Mayfield & Michael Mayfield. Jimmy is also survived by his partner James Devine of Manhattan.
