James Allen Sanders passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020. James was born August 12, 1947 in American Fork, Utah to Frank and Arlene Sanders.
In 1964 Jim joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War where Chuck Conners presented him the purple heart and he was honorably discharged in 1967.
He married the love of his life Vickie Allen on February 13, 1970. They were together for 49 years.
He worked for DDO until he retired.
Jim enjoyed doing his crossword puzzles, camping, fishing, and his monthly trips to Wendover and Fort Hall. He also loved telling jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie. His son, Clay (Leslie), 3 grandkids, 7 great grandkids and 1 great-great grandchild. His sisters; Beverly (Jerry) Rider, Barbara Lovett. His brother-in-law, Lee and sister-in-law’s; Judy, Tracey, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by father, mother and step-father Elmer. 2 brothers; Glen, Edward (Buster) and brother-in-law Mike.
