Mr. James Allen “Jimmy” Hunt, Jr., age 79, of Brevard, NC, (formerly of Lanett, AL and Opelika, AL), passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachel Hunt; his three children, Judson Keith (Lisa) Hunt, Jason Mark Hunt, and Jennifer D. “Deni” (Scott) Murphey; his seven grandchildren, Jason Mark (Megan) Hunt, Jr., Josiah Hunt, Judson Keith Hunt, Jr., Jordan Allen Hunt, Jeremy Cobb, Jessica Powers, and Payton Powers; his three great grandchildren, Emma Claire Hunt, Trey Hunt, and Blakely Jenkins; his two brothers, Bobby K. (Deanne) Hunt and Phillip S. (Sandra) Hunt; his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Hunt Martin.
Mr. Hunt was born on November 25, 1936 in Lanett, AL to the late James A. and Rebecca Hunt. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a graduate of Lanett High School and Alabama Polytechnic Institute, (Auburn University). Mr.
