He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Marlene (Rockwell) Short on November 22, 2020.
James was employed as a Union Carpenter with Carpenter’s Union Local #340 in Hagerstown, MD for over 30 years until his retirement.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
James is survived by his daughter Mary J. Dziedzic and her husband Eugene of Harrisonville, PA; son Tom A. Short and his wife Loretta of Sharpsburg, MD; sister Alice Short of Hagerstown, MD; sister Gloria Hays of Halfway, MD; 6 granddaughters, 9 great granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; 1 great great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Rose Marlene Short and a sister Alfreda Wagaman.
