James Alan Stripling, 75, passed away on June 18, 2024, at his home on the river that he loved. He was the son of the late James Lester Stripling and Mary New Stripling. He was predeceased by his wife, Carol C. Stripling; son, James Stripling, III; grandson, James Thomas Stripling; sister, Pat Smith; and a brother, Mike Stripling.He is survived by his son, Jason Stripling (Robin); grandchildren, Jacob Stripling, Victoria Stripling, Alex Stripling, Elizabeth Stripling; three great grandchildren; Step-grandchildren, Chelsey Stonecipher and Ashley Hammer; three step great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Baggett (Arthur); sister-in-law, Ruth Stripling; his faithful companion dog, Easy; and many nieces and nephews and special friends.He was a proud Air Force veteran. He loved old Ford trucks and good old country music, as well as a good old Western movie. He loved riding in his golf cart around the river he loved looking for the American Bald Eagle.
