He was born January 19, 1958, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of James and Dorothy (Petersen) Evans. He was a resident of Geneva, IL since 1996.
Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He married the love of his life, Meg Scheid Evans, and together they lived every day to its fullest for over 37 years. Jim spent all of his career in the grocery business with the majority of the years in various sales leadership roles at Campbell’s Soup where he retired.

Jim spent several years traveling with Tommy to skateboarding competitions around the country. He supported Tommy’s passion for music by managing his band, Secret Colours, and rarely missing a performance.

They spent the last five years traveling throughout Europe multiple times a year creating special memories in many countries, often accompanied with great friends and family.
Jim shared so much passion, wisdom and influence with his friends and family in everything he did from music, travel, wine, culinary arts, life, leadership and so much more. He was the loyalist of friends and a great mentor. He will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege to know him.
