James A, Cunningham, age 89, of Norwalk, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the husband of the late Marian Hill Cunningham. Born in Norwalk on November 30, 1921, Mr. Cunningham was the son of the late James G. and Ella Magee Cunningham and has lived in Norwalk all of his life as a 13th generation Norwalker. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, Class of 1939, and served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army 8th Air Force, stationed in Europe.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Cunningham of Norwalk and John D. Cunningham of Colorado, a daughter Joan Perry of Danbury, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
