James A. Anderson, 65, of Farmington, beloved husband of Marie Cillizza, passed away surrounded by his family, on Saturday, July 28, 2012 and UCONN Health Center.
James was born in Hartford on October 19, 1946, the only son of the late Roy and Evelyn (Lally) Anderson. Raised in Plainville, he was a 1965 graduate of Plainville High School, and went on to work alongside his father as an owner and operator at Anderson Auto Body, retiring last year. He and his wife and best friend, Marie, shared more than 30 years of happy times and countless getaways to Atlantic City, and would have celebrated their anniversary this Friday. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #33, and the S.A.L., where he spent many days playing pool and leaves many dear friends. Jim had a great love for the ocean, taking annual trips to Cape Cod for the past 25 years, where he fulfilled his passion for fishing, crabbing, and clamming.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Jimmy Anderson of Bristol, Debra Anderson of Maine, and Jim and Dan Zarrella; his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters, all who will miss him dearly.
