Jamelyn Sue Griffin, age 53 of DeMotte, passed away at home surrounded by family, Thursday, September 13, 2018.
She was born on October 10, 1964 in Valparaiso, Indiana the daughter of Leslie “Pete” and Martha (Cannon) Hobbs. Jamelyn graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1982. She earned a BS in accounting at Purdue North Central and was class valedictorian. Jamelyn married Mark Griffin on October 19, 1985 in Hebron, Indiana. She worked as Human Resource/Accounting for Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
Jamelyn was affiliated with the Cross Roads Church of DeMotte, IN. She was a BeachBody coach, member of the Friends of the Library, helped organize the Touch of Dutch festival for many years and enjoyed crocheting & jogging. Jamelyn was a great, loving person who always put others first.
Jamelyn is survived by her father, husband, son, Aaron James Griffin of Michigan and sister, Jennie Boyer of Shelbyville, KY.
Jamelyn was preceded in death by her mother in 2005, and sister, Jacquelyn Hobbs in 1995.
