Jamaica F. McClain affectionately called “Bounxe” by family and friends was born on December 6, 1976, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Debra L. Wallace and George B. McClain. He was the sixth child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, George, Garrick, Malcolm, Bennie, Roosevelt, and his sister, Dena. As a child, he loved playing with trucks, always looked for attention and is remembered as crying to get his way. He loved the song, “Funkin in Jamaica.” He received his early education by attending the Denver Public Schools and later earning his GED in 1995.
On October 24, 2010, Jamaica married the former Gabrielle Dean. They first met in 2001. To this union a daughter, A’Nijah and twin boys, Javae and Javaris were born. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Gabrielle fondly calls him as her “best friend,” he truly enjoyed the happy and memorable times they all shared together.
