Jade passed away on Saturday July 18, 2020 after a yearlong battle with endometrial cancer. Thank you to the caring nurses at Seasons Hospice in Milton, Massachusetts – Lori, Becky, Meaghan and Sherry, who took care of her during her final days. She was born March 19, 1953 in Houston, Texas to parents Major Henry C. Young retired USAF and Ferne (Roblyer) Young-Burris, who predeceased her. She leaves behind her brother Craig C. Young of Brockton and daughter Jillian Y Rizzo of Kingston. Jade graduated from Brockton High School in 1971 then Katharine Gibbs for her Secretarial Degree in 1972 and Associates Degree in Arts in 1986 at Cape Cod Community College, while raising her daughter at the same time. She was happy riding horses without a saddle on the family farms in Oklahoma, she loved the Beatles (Paul was her favorite), favorite movies were “To Kill A Mockingbird” and “Funny Girl” plus she enjoyed long foot rubs. Also, she loved being near the ocean (she was a Pisces) and savored the yearly trips to Sanibel Island, Florida. Where she could collect seashells on the beach with her daughter, swim in the ocean, enjoy good food and watch the sunset on the beach. Jade was the person everyone gravitated towards. She loved planning the parties, giving the best advice and knowing when all you needed was for her to be with you. All of her friends and co-workers will sorely miss her. To daughter Jill, she was more than a great mother; she was her best friend, her partner through all of life’s challenges and the one bright constant in her life. She was the heart of our family but our loss is certainly heaven’s gain.
