Jack Smith, age 85, Belmont Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, died Monday, November 19th at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Port Orange.
Born in Sayre, Pennsylvania, Mr. Smith, a machinist, came to this area in 1980 from Corning, New York. He was in the 10th C.B. in the Navy and the 5th Amphibious Marine from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Smith retired in 1980 as a gauge specialist from Corning Glass Works, New York.
He is survived by his wife, Janette of New Smyrna Beach, 2 daughters, Nancy Brady of New Smyrna Beach and Linda Scudder of Painted Post, New York, 1 son, Donald Smith of Penfield, New York, 5 grandchildren, 1 step-nephew, David Faulkner of Bradenton.
