Jacquelyn Marilyn Schriener 88, passed peacefully on January 16th at her Centennial home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Alexander and Ethel Ross on Jan 25, 1925 in Denver, Co. She was grateful to be lovingly raised by her second mother, Emma Grace Ross. She graduated two years early from South High School and enjoyed a career in bookkeeping/accounting before marrying the late Robert L. Schriener in 1948. “Jackie”, as she was known by her family and friends, never met a stranger. To her a stranger was simply “a friend she had not yet met”.
Jackie loved music and was passionately involved with the Colorado (formerly Denver) Symphony Guild and the Denver Lyrical Opera Guild. She loved playing golf, bowling, playing bridge, and was an experienced equestrian. She kept her mind sharp by working word puzzles and being an avid reader. She was devoted to Christ and taught Sunday school for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her sisters, Gwen, Nancy and Mary Ann and brother, Tex. She is survived by children, Steve (Debra) , Leslie, Greg, and Jeff (Wendy); eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren along with cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
