Jacquelyn (Jackie) Wardroup, 60, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, was gathered up to Heaven by angels while she was sleeping on September 6, 2016.
Jackie entered this world on November 29, 1955 in Jamestown, NY. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman B. Jorenby. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Wardroup; her sons, Edward Herrera and Danny Wardroup; her daughters, Yvonne SparrowSmith and Angel Wardroup; her parents, John and Ruth Reichert; her siblings, Norm and Terri Jorenby, Carrie and Rudy Rojo, Denise and Steve Peiffer, Laurie and Paul Bearce and Donald Reichert; 12 grandchildren and innumerable extended family and friends who are far too many to list but are never forgotten.
Jackie had a smile and a place in her heart for everyone. She was generous to a fault and yet never sugarcoated anything – she had a knack for always telling it like it is. Her laughter and smile were contagious. She was mischievous and the life of any party, large or small, for which you could be sure she had prepared and cooked up a meal large enough to feed an army. (She might have been trying to just make us all fat.) Speak to anyone who knew her and not only will they tell you of countless moments of generosity and kindness but also of all the times she made them laugh uncontrollably.
She was only able to live the “retired” life a couple of years, and even though she could finally “sleep in,” she never did. She was up early, full of song and mirth, and if she happened to “accidentally” wake you up … well she’d “already made breakfast for you!” She lived each and every day to the fullest. She will live on as an inspiration with love in each and every one of our hearts.
