Jacquelyn Ann Manning, age 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Mercy One Johnston Hospice Care in Johnston, Iowa. She was born on July 21, 1958 in Cresco, Iowa to Donald and Mary Havel.
Jackie was a 1976 graduate of Herbert Hoover High School in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduation she began working at the Bureau of Criminal Investigation which later became the Division of Criminal Investigation also located in Des Moines. After 40 years of dedicated service, she retired in 2016.
Jackie touched many lives with her generosity. She loved hosting holiday gatherings and was exceptional at cooking and baking wonderful food. Jackie always made sure everyone had their favorite holiday dishes and goodies during these special meals. Jacking had many amazing talents. She used those talents to create special memories for her friends and family members. She enjoyed crafting, painting, and photography. She had a knack for creating picture collages, adding her own special words to capture the moment. These collages became treasures to those who received them.
Jackie is survived by her siblings, Al Havel, Bryan Havel, Carolyn (John) Aliano, Kevin (Lori) Havel, many nieces and nephews, and her wonderful cat, Tucker, who she thought the world of. She is preceded in death by her parents Donald Havel and Mary Morris and stepfather Ronald Morris.
